Continuing on from the cliffhanger ending of last year’s Reflections, Pursuit begins with the Doctor’s great-grandson Alex (Sonny McGann) and starship pilot Cass Fermazzi (Emma Campbell-Jones) on the run together in a stolen TARDIS. 

The Doctor, having turned against his former companions, is now on their trail across time and space alongside the manipulative Hieronyma Friend. A thorn in the Doctor’s side, Hieronyma once again wears the faces of his old friends; in Pursuit, she is voiced by Niky Wardley and Lizzie Hopley (who previously played the Eighth Doctor’s audio companions Tamsin Drew and Gemma Griffin).
