Jacob Dudman slips into Peter Capaldi’s boots to take on the role of the Twelfth Doctor in the latest full-cast audio drama in the Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor Chronicles range.  

Timejacked! is a complete three-hour adventure told over separate episodes which take the Doctor from Earth to the planet Calandra and beyond. Keira is played by Bhavnisha Parmar, who who fans will recognise from her roles as Yaz’s younger sister, Sonya Khan, in previous series of Doctor Who on television.

Rookie Time Agent Keira Sanstrom needs the Doctor's help, and she's prepared to go to extreme measures to get it. Unwillingly whisked away from St. Luke's University, the Doctor quickly discovers that being forced off Earth is only the start of his problems…  

The three adventures for the Twelfth Doctor and Keira are as follows: 

Flight to Calandra by Matt Fitton 

The Doctor wants a peaceful afternoon playing guitar in his study. Keira wants the Doctor to take her from Earth to the planet Calandra. Reluctantly, the Doctor agrees. But when they arrive, Calandra isn't how Keira remembers. Something's gone very wrong…

The Founder built their planet and their people from nothing. Their lives, and their very world, are dependent on the whims of the Founder. All praise the Founder.  

Jacob Dudman said: “It's really nice for the Twelfth Doctor to have a companion of sorts to go through these adventures with. I think the relationship they have is really fun.  

“And Bhav is such a lovely person and also just so brilliant at what she does. From the moment we started saying the lines back and forth to each other, it really came out. The script is brilliant but as soon as you put the energy into it, you see what a collision course these two characters are on, personality-wise.” 

Bhavnisha Parmar agreed: “Jake is so giving and warm in his approach to acting. We really bounced off each other. He’s a great, great guy.  

“I'm someone who's old school with the script. Not over-rehearsing it but going through it in a fun, playful way and getting up off your feet. That's how I got into the character. There are a lot of similarities between myself and Keira. The little things, the sarcasm she has, and the kind of attitude – but hopefully not the stroppiness in certain situations!”  

  Producer Alfie Shaw added: “The decision to have a single epic story was taken fairly early on. We wanted to do something that was big in scope and enabled us to touch upon lots of different places and locations. We didn't want to be setting up too much for down the road.  

  “So, we drew inspiration from older Doctor Who stories that would move from location to location with each part, so there's a sense of movement and drive.”
