Doctor Who Magazine season survey winners
Every year Doctor Who Magazine runs a season survey, asking readers to vote for their favourite stories. The results, published in DWM #539 (on sale 30 May) included several Big Finish audio dramas, which are now available on special offer - for this weekend ONLY.
Thank you to everyone who chose a Big Finish adventure as their favourite. We are really delighted that not one but two box sets of The Eighth Doctor Adventures were chosen as Ravenous 1 and Ravenous 2 both received top nominations.
Ravenous 1 sees the Eighth Doctor and Liv Chenka on the hunt for their missing companion, Helen Sinclair. Following the events of Doom Coalition, Helen is lost on a dying TARDIS with the Eleven – a mad, homicidal Time Lord retaining the personalities of his previous multiple regenerations. Plus, Helen isn’t the same person she was since we last saw her…
Ravenous 2 sees the TARDIS team reunited and each of them facing a demon from the past. There’s a trip to Kaldor with its deadly robots, a Christmastime creature of horror with a fairytale trip to Salzburg, and we encounter monsters of Time Lord legend in the Ravenous themselves…
For this special celebratory offer, both Ravenous box sets are available at their pre-order prices of £22.99 on CD or £19.99 on download. Don’t forget that all CD purchases unlock a download exclusive via the Big Finish website and the Big Finish app.
A quick reminder that Ravenous 3 will be going up to its general release price at the end of the month so get it now if you want to save money. Or why not save even more money by purchasing all four Ravenous sets in a CD or download bundle.
The second audio drama nominated in Doctor Who Magazine is The War Master: The Master of Callous. The second box set in the War Master saga, this four hour epic story sees the Master at his most malevolent, with the fate of an entire planet in his cruel grasp…
For this special offer, The Master of Callous is available at its pre-order price. Or why not save even more money by getting the whole War Master saga in a bundle on CD or download.
Doctor Who: Hour of the Cybermen was also nominated in the Doctor Who Magazine poll. Written by Andrew Smith for The Monthly Adventures, Hour of the Cybermen stars Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor.
Hour of the Cybermen is the second story in last year’s Daniel Hopkins trilogy, charting UNIT through a troubled era as seen through the eyes of three Doctors. This wonderful story also features the return of David Banks playing the Cyber Leader, and Mark Hardy as the Cyber Lieutenant.
Hour of the Cybermen is available now at £11.99 on CD or £9.99 on download. Or you can get all three stories in the Daniel Hopkins trilogy at £33 on CD or £28.49 on download.
These special offers end at 12:00pm UK time on 3rd June 2019, so don’t delay!
Many thanks again, DWM readers.
